Time for another discussion of favorites! ;D
Favorite video games: Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time...
Favorite game series: Final Fantasy, The Legend of Zelda...
Highly nostolgic and/or sentimental games (most of which I still enjoy playing): Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest, Illusion of Gaia, The Legend of Zelda, Populace, Sim City, Super Mario Bros. Series (for the nes and supernes), Donky Kong Country... Tekken 2
Of course there are many, many games that I have played over the years, so there are many, many memories to go along with them... However, I will save most of the reminecing for later posts.
Another games series that I feel inclined to mention is Pokemon. I enjoyed playing it (I have blue, red, yellow, gold, silver crystal, leaf green...) but I can think of some really cool features and design ideas that they have not yet used.

I really haven't been able to play many games. ;.; I blame it on having lack of consols and a cruddy com. (And now a mac. *L* Very good one, just... finding mac versions of games..heh...heh...)
But some of my favorites were FF VI (Origanil version. Go emulators!) VII, and American McGee's Alice for PC. I never did get to complete that though. I was SO close....and my computer died erasing my game x.x Grrr.

I haven't been able to play many games recently, between my school work and only having my trusty Game Boy Advance with me... But it is definitly annoying when one is playing a game and the saved file is lost/deleted, particularly if one is near the end of the game. (I hate it when that happens.)

Tales of Symphonia is an awesome game that people should play!! It has some great anime characters and voice acting. Wish it could have more cut scenes but oh well. The story is extremely complex as are the characters. I'd talk more, but I wouldn't want to spoil it for people. ^_^

I want to play Tales of Symphonia! But would need not only the game and a memory card, but the system as well... If I had a Game Cube, then I'd also want Super Smash Brothers Melee, and when it comes out I want The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. That game looks awesome!
(I also want a game boy DS, along with Nintendogs...) But alas, I do not have much money for games and systems right now... (And when it finally comes out I also want to get Kingdom Hearts 2...) Another good game that I played a demo for is Soul Caliber 3...

Tales of Symphonia is pretty good... typical RPG plot, no random battles, side-scrolling-action-ish battles, lots of abilities... I enjoyed it. Didn't do every single sidequest, or replay it after finishing (55 hours for me), but it was pretty good... I did like Skies of Arcadia a bit more though (I'm not sure why, often I get annoyed by typical Japanese-style RPGs, but not in that case...). Great game.
Fire Emblem... all of them... now those are must owns. Such awesome games... best console strategy games ever, almost certainly. And I love strategy games.
ToS does have a nice four player mode though... the new Tales of Legendia for PS2 is supposedly shorter, not as good, and has no multiplayer. Sad...

ToS does have a nice four player mode though... the new Tales of Legendia for PS2 is supposedly shorter, not as good, and has no multiplayer. Sad... That is sad. I was so looking forward to that game. Plus it's on PS2 which I don't have. Tales of Symphonia is still my favorite. I have played it three times! Working on getting all the side questions and so on. ;D Anyone know of any good GBA or DS RPGs? I'm running short on games and I'm having a hard time picking new ones. Oh, and for people who love stories and mechs; the GBA Zone of Enders game is one of my favorites. The game itself is simple and not very interesting. But, it's about 60% story, maybe more, and it's a pretty good one. Pretty Angsty if you like that stuff.

Hm... I haven't really played many RPGs for the game boy... (most have been for the Super Nes or Playstation...) If one has played Kingdom Hearts and liked the game, then Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is worth checking out, though the battle system is bizarre... I have no idea how good it is, but there is a "Tales of Phantasia" coming out in March... they have a thing about it on Nintendo's website... They also have a list of rpgs out for game boy. It's not really an RPG, but Animal Crossing looks like it'd be fun... Like I said, I haven't played too many RPGs for the Game Boy... However, if you wanted RPGs for any system I would definetly recommend the Final Fantasy series, and also Chrono Trigger and Kingdom Hearts. Also, the original Breath of Fire was kind of fun... Sorry I couldn't recommned any really awsome RPGs for the game boy...

GBA... the Golden Sun games are pretty good. Classic console-style RPGs, but with some modern touches like often in puzzle rooms you don't have random battles... I also really liked Riviera, great original game. It's like a cross between a graphic adventure game and a console RPG, with a dash of dating sim... it's both unique and classic and works very well. There's also the Fire Emblem games in strategy/RPG... fantastic... Fire Emblem is my favorite game on the GBA, no question. TSS is good too, but not quite as good as the first one. I also have Sword of Mana and Lunar Legend, but while okay they're not truly great like those other games.
As for upcoming games, there's Yggdra Union, a strategy-RPG from the makers of Riviera, possibly ports of FFV and VI to go along with I&II and IV, and Tales of Phantasia, FINALLY, which of course looks awesome (and is coming pretty soon).
DS... hmm. There isn't much yet... Age of Empires just came out and sounds decent, and there's Advance Wars DS... RPGs... hmm. Mario and Luigi I guess (and for that matter, the GBA Mario and Luigi game too). The Mario RPG games are pretty good... (Paper Mario on N64 is my favorite of them, though) It does have a bunch more coming up though...
