I considered adding a poll in... but I couldn't think which series I'd put in it, so I decided to simply start a thread in which people can discuss their favorite series. (Maybe I'll make a poll some other time... But it might be helpful if I'd seen more series... I've seen a bit, but not a lot of the more recent series...)
SO, my favorite anime series are: Gundam Wing, Rurouni Kenshin, Fruits Basket...
Favorite manga: Fruits Basket, Inu Yasha, Rurouni Kenshin...
Favorite Anime Movies: Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away...
(Of course, there are a lot of other series that I enjoyed... and my favorites do tend to shift around... But the aboved mention seem to always be in my top favorites, regardless of what other series are drifting through.)
Now I want to hear what other people think of those series, and what their own favorite series are!
(I don't know why I sound kind of hyper, when I'm actually feeling rather tired... Must be cause tonight's another Anime Club night.)

Fushig Yugi is kind of cool, though I'm only up to book 8 in the manga...
Other than that I have not seen any of those shows (though technically I haven't seen the anime version of Fushigi Yugi yet either)... I have at least heard of Record of Lodoss War and Video Girl AI...

Well, let's get cracking then. The one real disadvantage of the club is that older anime is rarely seen. I've been riding Kirk to show Lodoss War for 3 years now.

Wasn't Record of Lodoss War done by CLAMP originally?
There are a lot of series that I have not seen. I think that the club should show a balance of both new and older anime. (After all, there are plenty of good series in both categories, and for any one who might of missed some of the older series it would give them an opportunity to check them out easily. Especially for people who might just be getting into anime, or have been pretty much dedicated to a few series...)
I myself have been interested in anime for something like 7-8 years now, but I only got to see one or two new series per year, and there are a lot of series & movies out there (good and bad). Obviously I don't care so much about having missed the "bad" ones... But it can be hard to guess if one will like an anime before seeing an episode of it...

Well I'll start by saying I've had limited access to anime and even LESS access to manga. But so far some of my favorites include:
Anime: Escaflowne, Wolf's Rain (/don't/ kill me for it, please!! It would be muchly appreciated!) Full Metal Alchemist, and Mononoke Hime (as far as films go).
Manga? Fake (yea yea yea, I know! I know!) , Tenryu: The Dragon Cycle ( just got the third volume. YAY! Sawy. Love Sanami Matoh's art style.) Fruits Basket, and Lament of the Lamb. (granted, I've only read a few volumes.)

Why would anyone kill you for liking Wolf's Rain? Are there people who are vocally against it in the club? I could understand them wanting to hang you if you started shouting about how grand Dragon Ball Z or Pokemon was (there are people around who clearly, and loudly dislike them)... Personally, as soulspinder knows, I have not yet seen Wolf's Rain but I want to see it. (I like wolves! Along with horses, dogs, cats, rodents, dolphins, elephants, etc... ;D)
